UCD to host conference on Irish public law

UCD’s Sutherland School of Law has lined up more than 20 distinguished speakers for a conference it is hosting next week.

‘Current issues in Irish public law’ runs from 9.30am to 4pm on Tuesday, 14 June.

Ms Justice Marie Baker of the Supreme Court will chair a discussion on environmental-and-planning law, while Mr Justice Maurice Collins of the Court of Appeal will chair a session on constitutional law.

High Court judges Ms Justice Tara Burns and Mr Justice Charles Meenan will chair discussions on immigration-and-asylum law and judicial review, respectively.

Geoffrey Shannon SC, of the Law Society, will chair a session on child-and-family law.
