Law Society Skillnet has developed a course aimed at providing solicitors and practice managers with coaching skills to manage and develop talent.
The three-month course, which starts on 4 March, will combine theory and experiential learning.
The programme director is Antoinette Moriarty, a psychotherapist with more than 20 years’ experience designing and leading professional and executive development for lawyers and other executives.
She also leads the Law School Psychological Services, and designs the psychological elements of solicitors’ training.
The course will give participants the tools and frameworks required to understand:
As well as providing an overview of the latest coaching theory and practice models, participants will identify a development agenda, and will experience being coached on their personal career goals.
Feedback will be offered on progress throughout the programme, alongside learning how to develop teams.

Full general, and full management and professional-development skills, required for CPD in 2022, are available to participants, provided all sessions are attended.
The Law Society says that numbers on the course will be strictly limited, and early booking is advised.
