Fighting fit: PPC trainees set up charity fundraiser

The Blackhall trainees’ Charity Fight Night will take place next Thursday (10 February) in the Pavilion at Leopardstown Racecourse, in Dublin 18.

On the night, 22 participants from PPCI will take part in white-collar boxing matches against each other.

Tickets for the event are being sold in aid of chosen charity, the Children’s Health Foundation Crumlin.

Doors will open at 6:30pm and the event will finish at 11pm.

Participants will face off in 11 different matches, with a professional referee in the ring, along with coaches in either corner and judges from the Headon Boxing Academy, where the trainees have been preparing since early December.

Donations

Along with training, the PPCI students have been actively fundraising for their chosen charity on social media and have already raised over €13,000.

Donations are welcome and from tomorrow (4 February), tickets will open up to general sale, for friends and family of fighters and  interested parties from the legal profession.

Trainees may also wish to attend the official after-party at Wigwam in Dublin city centre, where attendees will have exclusive access.

Buses to the club are being arranged based on interest.

All trainees are welcome but will be asked to make a donation to the charity on the door.
