Events mark centenary of 1922 Battle of Four Courts

The Decade of Centenary commemorations to mark the 1922 Battle of the Four Courts will take place tomorrow (24 June) at the Dublin 7 building at 6pm.

The Courts Service event will also see the launch of the Four Courts 100 app which commemorates the events of 1922, with a 3D self-directed tour.

A major photographic exhibition will also be installed in the Round Hall, along with other interesting artifacts capturing the experiences of 1922.

Author and curator Michael Fewer and State architect Ciarán O’Connor will speak about the story of the Battle of the Fours with archivist Catríona Crowe.

Refreshments will be served after the lecture and it will be possible to view the event live from the Courts Service YouTube account.

Guided tours

On Saturday, 25 June the Four Court 100 tours will be made available free to members of the public.

More tickets for the guided tours on Saturdays 2 July and 9 July will be made available next week.
