Widespread cancellation of court sittings caused by Storm Barra

Storm Barra leads to cancelled court sittings

Courts sittings in the west and south-west have been cancelled today because of the red weather alert.

The Courts Service has confirmed that Newcastle West District Court in Co Limerick will not sit today.

Scheduled cases are adjourned to 10.30am on 5 April 2022, with liberty to apply. 

No courts will sit in Clare today.

Family law list

Judge O'Callaghan has adjourned today’s family law list at Ennis Circuit Court until Wednesday, 2 February, at 10.30am.

Judge Mary Emer Larkin has adjourned all matters listed at Killaloe District Court (sitting at Ennis) today, to Tuesday, 4 January, at 10.30am.

Judge Bernadette Owens has adjourned matters listed at Ennis special family law court  today to Wednesday, 8 December, to fix new dates for hearing.

No courts will sit in Cork today.

Anglesea Street courthouse

 

All District Court matters for District no 19 Cork city, due to be held at Anglesea Street courthouse, have been adjourned to Wednesday, 8 December at 10.30 am.

The Central Criminal Court sitting in Cork is adjourned to 8 December.

Matters listed for District No 20, due to be held at Mallow courthouse, have been adjourned to 14 December at 10.30am.

Custody matters are remanded to 8 December.

Matters listed for District no 18, due to be held at Clonakilty courthouse, have been adjourned to Clonakilty on 21 December, at 10.30am.

Custody matters are remanded to Macroom, on 8 December at 10:30am.

Judge McCourt  has adjourned Midleton Circuit Court appeals, due to be held today, to Tuesday, 15 March, at 11am.

The call-over of Midleton civil list, scheduled for today, is rescheduled for tomorrow (8 December), at 11am.

Washington Street Circuit Family Court has been adjourned by Judge Boyle until tomorrow (8 December).

The Circuit Civil Court has been adjourned by Judge O'Donohoe until tomorrow (8 December).In the District Family Court, Judge Dorgan has said that new dates will be assigned for domestic violence applications.

Family motions and civil motions before the County Registrar have been adjourned until Tuesday, 14 December.

And Castlebar Circuit Court sittings have been cancelled and adjourned to next term.
