Mr Justice Michael White to lead Kenneally probe
Mr Justice Michael White has been appointed to the Commission of Investigation (Response to complaints or allegations of child sexual abuse made against Bill Kenneally and related matters) Order 2018.
The current sole member of the commission, Mr Justice Barry Hickson, steps down from the commission with effect from 30 June. Mr Justice Michael White will become the sole member from 1 July 2021.
The Commission of Investigation is investigating the extent to which organisations, including State bodies and individuals, were aware of the child sexual abuse committed by sports coach and political activist Bill Kenneally during the 1980s.
