PPC II trainees invited to online showcase of Law Society supports

An upcoming open day in the Blackhall Place Presidents’ Hall will showcase for emerging PPC II trainees all of the Law Society supports on offer.

The 26 May event will be held virtually from 9.30-11.30am with the goal of promoting an easy transition between the law school and the Law Society.

Director General Mary Keane will address the PPC II trainees at 9.30am which will be followed by a short message from Law Society director of representation and member services Teri Kelly (small picture).

The session will address:

• Structure of the Law Society,
• How to apply to go on the Roll of Solicitors,
• The parchment ceremony,
• Practising certificates – costs and administrative questions,
• Benefits of Law Society membership,
• Career support services,
• Professional wellbeing support,
• Diploma Centre offering and continuous professional development,
• Law Society Professional Training,
• Library services,
• Practice support, including starter pack for setting up,
• Law Society website and log-in details.
