RDJ lawyer new Galway Chamber president

Ronan Daly Jermyn (RDJ) lawyer JP Gilmartin has been confirmed as the new president of Galway Chamber after a recent board meeting.

Mr Gilmartin (pictured) is a partner in RDJ’s corporate and commercial department and has represented a broad range of clients from growing companies to multinationals. He has been a member of Galway Chamber’s council since 2011.

Sustainable transport

“I start my tenure amid a pandemic and in the prelude to a tough Brexit, so these are very challenging and difficult times for businesses and our economy,” he said.

Mr Gilmartin said that, in the year ahead, the chamber would continue to lobby for sustainable transport through its ‘Get Galway Moving’ campaign.

Other key issues include the delivery of the Galway City Ring Road, the roll-out of the National Broadband Plan and the redevelopment of Galway Port.
