The Courts Service’s new website went live this morning (5 August) at www.courts.ie.
The Courts Service had been running a beta version of its new site alongside the old site since late last year, but this has now replaced the old site.
The new website was developed to provide a platform to help transform the organisation’s digital presence. It is aimed at giving the courts body more flexibility and improving its social media presence.
The Courts Service has produced some guidance documents and short video introductions to some of the site’s features in order to help users to find their way around.
It says the current lack of content in the Irish language will be addressed during the remainder of the year. The Courts Service says it will continue to monitor and further develop the site over the next 12 months where improvements are identified.
In May, the Law Society library updated its guide to the website following the launch of the beta website.
The Courts Service website can be used to access the legal diary, search for High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court judgments, the High Court Search and court rules and forms for the District Court, Circuit Court and Superior Courts.
