Two new hires at Simmons & Simmons' Dublin office

International law firm Simmons & Simmons has appointed Rachel Stanton and David Brangam as partners in its Dublin office.

The firm, which opened a Dublin office in 2018, said the new recruits demonstrate the increasing significance of the Irish legal market.

Rachel Stanton joins from William Fry, where she was a partner since 2008 and head of banking for the past three years.

David Brangam will join the corporate team from LK Shields, where he set up that firm's London office and headed the healthcare group.

Brangam started his career in London in 2009 before returning to Ireland in 2013. He has advised on M&A, private equity and venture capital deals across the financial services, social infrastructure, TMT and energy sectors.

Relationships

Simmons and Simmons country head Fionán Breathnach said: "Bringing in two new partners who hold extensive relationships within the Irish and international markets is an important step in the planned development of the team’s banking, corporate, capital markets and structured finance offerings.

“Rachel and David will be instrumental in delivering our ambitious strategy in Ireland."
