The Courts Service Legal Diary is moving to a new web address in advance of the redesign of www.courts.ie.
While the new design will function the same as it does currently, it will be more user-friendly on mobile devices, a Courts Service spokesman said.
The new ‘legaldiary.courts.ie’ address will be operational from 2.15pm on Thursday, 13 February.
After that, users who click on the legal diary link on courts.ie will be automatically taken to the new website, which will replace the existing http://courts.ie/ in the coming weeks.
A telephone helpdesk will be available from Thursday to offer Legal Diary assistance at 01 8886973. Email queries should be sent to: webmaster@courts.ie.
The move is part of an extensive programme of digital innovation, which is underway under the new chief executive, Angela Denning.
In this month’s Law Society Gazette, Chief Justice Frank Clarke states that the centre of gravity in Irish courts is slowly but surely moving online.
