Public procurement agenda focus for SFA event

The 2020 Small Firms Association’s (SFA) Business Connect event takes place on Thursday, 6 February in the Aviva Stadium, Dublin 4.

Now in its third year, Business Connect is a marketplace event designed to give delegates a window into the decision-making and purchasing processes of Ireland’s leading companies.

Delegates will hear from procurement experts Emmanuel Heddin, head of procurement at DAA, and Diarmuid Murphy, brand manager of the ‘Simply Better’ food collection, Dunnes Stores, on what they look for in local small business suppliers and from small companies on winning big contracts.

Mentalist

Along with informal networking between large and small firms, there will also be an interactive session with renowned leadership, motivational speaker and mentalist David Meade who will show delegates how to use influence to win business.

SFA director Sven Spollen-Behrens said “We are really excited about our third Business Connect event.

“As well as best-in-class speakers and case studies to help small firms better equip themselves to win contracts and work with large customers, InterTradeIreland and the Office of Public Procurement will also be there to provide advice on how to access public procurement opportunities.”

Exhibit

Showcasing at the event will be the best of small businesses from the SFA National Small Business Awards 2020, who will exhibit along with awards sponsors and partners.

Business Connect 2020 runs from 8am to 2pm.

The event is compered by renowned business journalist Richard Curran.
