A special Christmas event from Lawyers Against Homelessness (LAH) will celebrate fifty years of the work of brother Kevin and the Capuchin Day Centre.
As well as four CPD points, the gathering on 5 December also has a social aspect with a drinks reception afterwards in the Sheds in the Bar Council building, kindly supported by Irish Distillers/Jameson.
A full 100% of the proceeds will go to The Capuchin Day Centre for Homeless People in Bow Street, Dublin.
The seminar takes place from 3.30pm to 7.30pm at the Capuchin Day Centre, 29 Bow Street, Dublin 7.
In the 50 years since Brother Kevin opened his door to help the homeless, his operation has expanded beyond belief and thousands of homeless people benefit from hot food, lunch packages and medical assistance on a daily basis.
The seventh LAH CPD conference will be attended by former RTÉ newsreader Anne Doyle. Mr Justice Kevin Cross is also a special guest.
To date, LAH has raised over €135,000 across two years.
Law firms involved include BLM, Gore & Grimes, Byrne Wallace, A&L Goodbody, McCann FitzGerald, Kent Carty, Downes, Ivor Fitzpatrick, Hayes McGrath and many others.
The Attorney General, members of the judiciary, the Bar Council and many members of the Bar are also involved.
The CPD conference fee is €100 or €50 for practitioners in years one to five.
All members of the legal profession are welcome.
