Senior counsel wins bronze medal for ‘outstanding’ course project work

Trinity College Dublin (TCD) has awarded its prestigious Nael G Bunni Medal to Michael Mulcahy SC. 

A bronze medal is awarded each year to the student who is placed first in course projects in the Diploma in Construction Law and Contract Administration.

In its citation, TCD described Mr Mulcahy’s work as “outstanding”. The senior counsel is a chartered arbitrator and accredited mediator. He specialises in construction law, professional negligence and personal injuries law.

Eminent engineer

The annual award is sponsored by Prof Bunni, the eminent engineer, arbitrator, conciliator and author. He is Visiting Professor in Construction Law and Contract Administration at TCD and is a member of the Commission on International Arbitration of ICC, a member of the Board of Trustees of Dubai International Arbitration Centre, and chairman of its executive committee. He also serves as chairman of Engineers Ireland Dispute Resolution Panel.
