Fifty firms signed up to use online conveyancing portal

Transact.ie is going live with its online conveyancing portal at the start of September.

The firm has been developing the product for the last two years with solicitors and estate agents, and has been conducting a live trial in the Dublin region since January.

The key finding from the trial is a reduction in conveyancing time by 50% and the elimination of the majority of ‘chasing’ phone calls that solicitors receive during the process.

Customer feedback on the system’s transparency has been very good.

User log-in

“Users can log in 24/7 and see what stage their transaction is at, without having to chase people on the phone,” says John Fahy, chief executive and founder of Transact.ie

The firm is planning to launch nationwide in September and hopes to have five hundred solicitors on the platform by year-end.

Over fifty legal firms are already signed up, mostly in the Dublin region. The business is currently employing three people full-time.
