Training for lawyers on social welfare law

Trinity College School of Law Associate Professor Gerry Whyte is to deliver a comprehensive series of six training workshops on social welfare law.

Professor Whyte is a director of the Mercy Law Resource Centre and his course will provide a detailed overview and provide participants with an up-to-date and comprehensive understanding.

The training goal is to help lawyers in advocacy for their clients in respect of social welfare law issues.

The workshops will be held over two weeks at the MLRC offices at Sophia Housing Complex, 25 Cork Street, Dublin 8.

The training dates are:

• Monday 22 July,
• Wednesday 24 July,
• Friday 26 July,
• Monday 29July,
• Wednesday 31 July,
• Friday 2 August.

Session

Each session will take place from 10am until 12 noon.

The cost is €225 for six sessions with participants expected to attend all six sessions.

The training will qualify for CPD points.
