Work culture plaudits for three law firms

Tracey Solicitors, Leman Solicitors and A&L Goodbody have all been officially recognised as good places to work.

Tracey Solicitors was honoured at the 17th annual Great Place to Work – Best Workplaces in Ireland awards in the Clayton Hotel in Dublin on 27 February. The practice was ranked 20th in the small workplace category.

Leman was ranked 29th in the same category.

Meanwhile, A&L Goodbody was ranked 19 in the large business sector.

This is Tracey Solicitors' first year to enter the competition, while Leman received a placing for the second year in a row. The awards are assessed through employee surveys, culture audits, and assessment of policies and practices.

Leman managing partner John Hogan commented: “Our team is the backbone of our business and we want to ensure that they are happy, motivated and flourishing in the workplace.”

Record high

John Ryan of Great Place to Work Ireland added: “With a record high of more than 2.28 million now employed in Ireland, and unemployment at 5.7%, we’re on the cusp of the oft-cited ‘full employment’ [level].

“This year, the number of employees assessed by Great Place to Work in Ireland has more than doubled. They’ve given us a clear sense of their workplace experience, and the workplace practices that Irish organisations of every size are putting in place to drive that experience.”.

Leman Solicitors operates a paperless office, and was the first in Ireland to give clients online access to their entire files, and the first to discard hourly rates for all work, including litigation.

Certification Europe has awarded Leman ISO27001 for Information Security Management and ISO 9001 for International Standards of Quality Management.
