20 new LLP authorisations signed by LSRA

Practitioners who face deadline impediments in filing their reporting accountant's report should contact the Law Society with their proposals.

Each firm will be then looked at on a case-by-case basis.

To facilitate filing of reports, the Society is willing to accept unsigned reports by email to financialregulation@lawsociety.ie, if they are accompanied by an undertaking by the reporting accountant to file the signed report as soon as practicable.

Meanwhile, the chief executive of the Legal Services Regulatory Authority (LSRA) Brian Doherty has confirmed that there is no delay to date by the Authority in the processing of LLP applications.

In fact, 20 new authorisations have just been signed, bringing the total issued to date to 145.

Surprising

An article in the April edition of the Gazette, which will be delivered early next week,  will assist firms dealing with the surprising failure of some banks to understand that no new legal entity is being created.
