Scoop up bonus CPD points with online seminars

A complimentary online professional development course is available to all members who have outstanding CPD requirements – but the seminars must be viewed before year-end.

Law Society Finuas Skillnet is offering this chance to earn two management and professional development skills hours, as well as two hours in regulatory matters, which includes one accounting and anti-money-laundering compliance module.

Modules

The total availability of four continuous professional development hours will include modules on:

  • Legal Services Regulation Act – an update by Ken Murphy, Director General of the Law Society,
  • Client case management – managing expectations and dealing with complaints – by Linda Kirwan (head of complaints and client relations, Law Society).
  • GDPR – need-to-know essentials for your firm, by Elizabeth Fitzgerald (a solicitor who focuses on tech law in Dublin),
  • Planning for your future: retirement and cessation of practice – regulatory requirements, by Sorcha Hayes (head of practice regulation, Law Society),
  • Wellness – dealing with stress, by Seán Ó Tarpaigh (mindfulness and Gestalt psychotherapist).

This online seminar will expire on 31 December 2018 at midnight, so be sure to log in and complete the modules while they’re available.
