Lawyer-entrepreneur’s software promises stress-free conveyancing

Lawyer's digital tool streamlines property sales

Solicitor Emmet Creighton (pictured above) is the co-founder of a communications platform for conveyancing that connects solicitors, estate agents, clients and banks.

He spoke about how lawyers make ideal entrepreneurs at the Law Society this week as part of the Techstars Start Up Week, which is backed by Dublin City Council.

Practical examples

Panellists shared their experience moving from practising law to running a business and gave practical examples of how a legal education can equip one to succeed in business.

Emmet's own legal network gave him the vital early support that allowed him to turn colleagues into customers. He shared his experience of making the transition from solicitor to founding a high growth start-up.

Collegial support helped him move his product from concept to a working model in high market demand among conveyancing solicitors in Ireland.

Flawless.tech promises to facilitate swift, streamlined and stress-free property sales with digital tools to improve the communication around property sales.

Emmet is now working with Bank of Ireland, Ulster Bank, Northern Ireland and Nat West London.

He is currently accepting new solicitors to trial his product free of charge. If your practice does conveyancing and you want to see how the product can help, contact Emmet at Emmet@flawless.tech

Business accelerator

Techstars is an international business accelerator which has backed more than 1,300 companies globally.

Start-up Week Dublin continues this week with over 30 confirmed panels, workshops and mentoring sessions across the city, in a series of free events.

Entrepreneurs, start ups, community facilitators and those interested in starting their own business are encouraged to review the schedule and register for events before they fill up.

“If you’ve been thinking about beginning a start up, wanting to jump into a high growth company or running your own company then Start up Week Dublin is designed for you as it showcases the people and places that can help you take that next best step,” said Gene Murphy, one of the organisers.
