Clocks back for winter time

Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan has reminded the public that summer time will come to an end tonight at 2am, and winter time will begin.

The Minister also announced the opening of a public consultation process on the future of the twice-yearly clock change.

Members of the public will be asked whether they are in favour of abandoning the current system and staying permanently on either summer time or winter time. The EU has proposed abolishing clock changes.
