Complimentary CPD

Law Society CPD contains a rich variety of courses across diverse areas of practice. With in-person CPD events cancelled until further notice, and mindful of the added financial pressure on firms and individual solicitors, staff in the Education Department are ready to deliver over 45 hours of complimentary online CPD for members.

Events taking place onsite at Blackhall Place have been cancelled until further notice.  Diplomas and CPD events will be provided online. PPC courses are taking place in a predominantly online format.

Update to 2020 CPD Scheme

In light of current circumstances with regard to Covid-19 and the risk posed by attendance at in-person group events over the next number of weeks and months, the Education Committee has decided that for the 2020 CPD cycle, the eLearning limit of 50% (modified or otherwise) will be removed.

Accordingly, solicitors may now complete the entire 2020 CPD requirement of 20 hours (including minimum requirements in the categories of ‘Management and Professional Development Skills’ and ‘Regulatory Matters’) online.

If clarification on this or any other aspect of the current CPD Scheme is required, please contact the CPD Scheme Unit for assistance.
