Due to an essential upgrade in June, all solicitor and public user passwords for the Law Society website need to be updated to 10 characters.
We have revamped our IT systems and website, expanding the information and services you can access and making it easier to update your details online.
As part of this upgrade, passwords have been reset for all solicitors and users of the website, with the exception of Trainee Solicitors.
Please note that your username and password for the Library Catalogue, Diploma Hub or PPC Trainee Moodle has not changed.
Changing your password
If you cannot log in or have not logged in since 12 June, please see below:
- Firstly, please clear your cookies and cache so your browser will accept your new, more secure password. See how to clear your cookies and cache.
- There are no changes to your website username - for solicitors this is your solicitor number including the s.
- If you received an email with a new temporary password, you can use it to log in and then select Change Password. Alternatively, you can request a new temporary password here.
- Log in and create a new password that is at least 10 characters in length. It can consist of letters, numbers and/or random words for added security. Test the security of your password with this password tool.
