The Society is pleased to advise that its consultation rooms in the Four Courts will open with effect from Monday 28 June.

This follows the announcement of the President of the High Court that physical hearings in relation to personal injury actions may re-commence in the Four Courts on that date.  However, the existing guidance is still that where at all possible physical hearings should be avoided.

The Four Court’s Consultation Rooms are being re-opened subject to a commitment by solicitors, their clients and counsel to maintain strict adherence to the control measures in place.  In particular, your attention is drawn to previous warning from the President of the High Court in relation to solicitors and counsel not congregating outside court rooms or in corridors.

Bookings

Bookings for Consultation Rooms can be made by calling (01) 668 1806 or emailing fourcourts@lawsociety.ie

Most rooms can only accommodate two to three people, with a few rooms taking four people.

Covid-19 Guidelines

Before you attend at the Four Courts you should have read the attached Covid-19 Guidelines on the safe use of the Law Society’s consultation rooms at the Four Courts.

Catering

The Friary Café will not re-open until October due to its limited space and location.  However, there are three tea/coffee outlets in the Four Courts, including the Legal & General shop adjacent to the consultation rooms.

This is a very positive step towards normality and we would ask all solicitors to play their part in ensuring adherence to the control measures so the continued opening of the facility is not jeopardised in any way.
