Going Green

Following member feedback and a decision by the Law Society Council, we have now launched a digital version of the Law Directory for access on your mobile, including all the practitioner details and resources that are in the printed version. We have also launched an app, which is available to download in both Apple and Google Play Stores. Members can choose to log in to access the mobile site.

This new digital Directory, advance notice of which was included with each printed copy of the 2020 edition, will significantly reduce the environmental impact of the annual hard-copy Law Directory.

Opt in preference

Now we have a digital version, printed copies of the 2021 Directory will only be made available to members who Opt in to continue receiving it. If you want us to send you a physical copy of the 2021 edition, simply visit the Law Society website and tick to opt in and save your preference.

Members who want to receive a physical copy of the Directory need to notify the Law Society of their preference by Friday 19 February 2021.

Practising status

The Law Directory will only list solicitors who have a practising certificate and/or hold membership for 2021. Any change to your practising status that is known to the Society at the time of going to print will be reflected in your Law Directory entry.

Of course, the new digital directory will reflect any status and firm changes as soon as they are saved to our system.

Login Help

• Log in with your solicitor number and password for the Law Society site and the Digital Law Directory.
• All passwords must be a minimum of 10 characters. You can request a new password to be sent straight away by email – request a new password.
• You cannot share an email address with another solicitor in your office - it must be unique to be able to access the website and for important email communications.
