Professor Rhona Smith, UN Special Rapporteur on the Situation of Human Rights in Cambodia, will deliver the 11th Centre for Criminal Justice and Human Rights Distinguished Lecture.
Professor Smith is Professor of International Human Rights and Head of Newcastle Law School. Since 2015 she has also served the UN Human Rights Council as the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Cambodia. Her lecture will discuss ‘The centrality of human rights in creating durable peace, stability and development: lessons from Cambodia’.
