The Law Society AGM 2021

This year, the Law Society’s Annual General Meeting will take place as a hybrid event to accommodate in-person and online attendance.

The Law Society’s AGM 2021 is taking place at:  

  • Time: 6:30pm on Thursday 4 November 2021
  • Venue: Lecture Hall, Education Centre, Law Society of Ireland, Blackhall Place, Dublin 7 and Zoom Webinar.

Covid-19 control measures

Members who would like to attend in person are advised of the following Covid-19 control measures in effect:

  1. Covid Certificate or Proof of Immunity (fully vaccinated or recovered from Covid-19 within previous 6 months) will be required.
  2. Photo ID must be presented when checking proof of immunity.
  3. Wearing of masks will be required except when speaking at a meeting, etc.
  4. Adherence to a minimum of 1 metre/1 seat distancing will be required.


All Law Society members are invited to attend the hybrid AGM 2021.

Registration to attend the AGM online has now closed. Members who have registered to attend online will be emailed AGM access details in advance of the meeting.

No registration is required for in-person attendance.

Meeting information and agenda

Please ensure that your contact email address is up-to-date. Members who have registered to attend online will be emailed a Zoom Webinar registration in advance of the meeting.

All members who attend the AGM online can contribute to the meeting via Zoom Webinar. You can ask questions through the chat box function during the event. You may also raise your hand and, once acknowledged by the moderator, unmute your microphone to contribute.


Kieran Pender, lawyer and author of the International Bar Association ‘Us Too?’ report on bullying and sexual harassment in the legal profession, will present ‘Bullying, Harassment and Sexual Harassment Awareness Training’ at the AGM 2021.

Members who attend this year’s AGM can claim one hour CPD, Management and Professional Development Skills (by eLearning) for this presentation.

Annual Report

The AGM will give consideration to the Annual Report for the year 2020/2021 and provide a report on the Audited Financial Statements for the year ending 31 December 2020.

From 21 October 2021, you will find the Annual Report containing the Audited Accounts on the Law Society website.


The AGM will also hear the report of the Scrutineers on the Annual Election and the Provincial Elections, and announce the final declaration of election results. Members who attend the event will be able to vote on five proposed motions.
