Conferences
The Presidents' Hall
The Presidents' Hall, formerly the Chapel of the Blue Coat School, is located in the quiet north wing.
With seating up to 220 theatre-style, it's ideal for large meetings, training courses and seminars.
It is equally adaptable for larger banquets seating up to 200 for lunch or dinner.
The Lecture Theatre
The tiered Lecture Theatre located in the Education Centre has a capacity of 260.
It offers seminar rooms, video conferencing and audio visual equipment.
The Council Chamber
The splendour and period detail of the Council Chamber provide an elegant backdrop for board meetings, presentations and smaller conferences.
There are also two smaller meeting rooms located on the same floor.
How to Book
The Presidents’ Hall, Lecture Theatre or the Council Chamber may be booked one of the following ways:
Meeting Rooms
The Law Society has four meeting rooms available for hire in the main building at Blackhall Place, with phone and Internet connection facilities. Room 3 has a fax installed and Room 1 is particularly suited to AV presentations as it has blackout blinds on the windows. Rooms 1 & 3 on the first floor will comfortably seat 10 and 8 people respectively, while Rooms 5 & 7 on the second floor will seat 20 and 10 respectively. There is a lift serving both floors.

Outdoor Functions
Our traditional walled garden with a south-western orientation, trapping the afternoon and evening sun, is ideal for pre-lunch/dinner drinks receptions, garden parties and barbeques.
The garden can cater for up to 200 guests. Full bar facilities can also be made available to your guests in the adjacent Old Library Bar during your event.
If it rains, you can retreat to the comfort of the old Library Bar or the Blue Room.
And for that monster occasion, the garden is adjoined by a football pitch surrounded by 100-year-old trees. It's suitable for corporate sports and family days, marquees etc.
