The new Companies Bill when enacted will reform and consolidate Irish company law. It is the most important, comprehensive and wide-ranging development in company law in half a century. Parts 1 to 15 of the Companies Bill contain the provisions relating to the most common company type in Ireland, the private company limited by shares. The Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation published Parts 1 to 15 in May 2011 in order to afford stakeholders, including legal practitioners, an opportunity to become familiar with the proposed new legislation.
Aim and Objectives
The aim of this seminar is to provide members with the opportunity to understand the key provisions of this legislation and consequentially equip them with the knowledge and skills to be prepared for the new regime which is expected to be enacted in 2013.
