Mediation Solutions Northwest was officially launched on 6th May, 2010 at the Glasshouse Hotel, Sligo.
The service was founded in October 2009 and aims to provide an efficient, cost effective alternative to litigation in the Northwest. All members are accredited mediators, and come from a range of professions such as the legal profession, medical, engineering and accounting.
Speakers at the launch included Her Honour Mrs. Justice Mary Laffoy, Ann Colley, Chairperson of the Legal Aid Board, Barry Higgins of Friarylaw and Sabine Walsh, Mediator, Secretary of the Association. The President of the Association, Keenan Johnson, Solicitor and Mediator, chaired the event.
The launch was well attended by professionals from various sectors throughout the Northwest, and also by High and District Court judges for the area.
