The Law Society Skillnet and the Law Society Finuas Network have been awarded funding from Skillnets Ltd. for a number of training courses through the Job Seekers Support Programme (JSSP).
All courses funded under the JSSP are free for job seekers and will include a work placement.

Work placement information: A suitable post-course work placement will be facilitated with appropriate companies. The placement will range from 1 - 6 months duration, with the participants gaining work placement experience and having an opportunity to maintain workplace links.

Who will be eligible to participate?
Any solicitor who is registered with the Department of Social Protection and who is in receipt of Jobseekers Benefit (JB) or Jobseekers Allowance (JA) will be eligible to participate.
Solicitors on other social welfare payments, such as disability allowance will also be eligible to participate. So too will solicitors who are not working but who are not in receipt of any social welfare payments (because of spouse/other income etc).
Anyone who is not covered within the above categories may also be eligible to participate – once their particular circumstances are cleared with the initiative organisers, Skillnets Ltd. See full Skillnets eligibility criteria.
The Law Society Skillnet and Law Society Finuas Network are funded by member companies and the Training Networks Programme and the Finuas Networks Programme respectively. Both programmes are managed by Skillnets Ltd. and funded from the National Training Fund through the Department of Education and Skills.
