Law Society Professional Training (formerly CPD FOCUS) designs and delivers training events to the solicitors' profession. Courses are intended to balance theory and practicality and to meet the day-to-day practice needs of the profession. Some courses may also be of interest to members of the public.

How to book a training event
Make a booking in one of the following ways:
Online
View a list of our training events. Choose an event and click Buy Now to pay online. You will need to login to finalise payment. Members and trainees can login with their solicitor/trainee number. Others can register for a password.
Post
Download and complete a booking form
Return with payment to the Law Society Professional Training team, The Law School, Law Society of Ireland, Blackhall Place, Dublin 7, DX 79 Dublin. Please ensure all cheques are made payable to the Law Society.

Law Society Skillnet - Our Vision
The Principal aim of the Law Society Skillnet is to facilitate the acquisition and transferability of skills within the solicitor enterprise sector to allow firms to diversify within their sector into new growth areas of practice and/or sustainable practice areas.
Skillnets – Subsidised Training for Members (2010)
The Law Society of Ireland has obtained grant funding from Skillnets Ltd. This means that we are in a position to offer a 25% discount on all our Law Society Skillnet training events to those who join the membership scheme in 2010.
Law Society Finuas Network - Our vision
The principal aims of the Law Society Finuas Network are to promote and support the continued development of the Finuas Network as a strategic response to the existing and emerging competitive challenges facing legal and taxation advisors in the international financial services sector. This network will provide necessary specialised training, which will enable solicitors to compete on an international platform to attract international firms to this jurisdiction.
