Course outcomes
This diploma aims to provide practitioners with a comprehensive knowledge of the area of compliance and management in the financial services sector. The course begins with an introduction to compliance management before discussing compliance in light of financial services regulation. It will also consider codes of best practice and the role of the solicitor as compliance manager. This diploma will examine regulation from a European perspective and its impact on compliance in Ireland.
Course structure
The course runs over six months and is divided into three modules:
Module One: Introduction to compliance management in Ireland
Module Two: Compliance in the financial services sector
Module Three: Impact of European law; ethics and accountability
Workshops
Workshops are an integral part of the course and aim to be hands on and consolidate what is dealt with in the lectures. This course will be webcast online however onsite attendance for workshops is strongly advised to maximize the learning experience.
Who should attend
This diploma is open to solicitors, barristers and trainees and other suitably qualified professionals with an interest in compliance in the financial services industry.
Lecturers & tutors
Lecturers will be drawn from solicitors, barristers, accountants and others with experience and expertise in the areas of financial compliance.

Such applications are subject to a supplemental fee, which amounts to a supplement of €150 in respect of a diploma application and a supplement of €75 in respect of a certificate application.
